Farming Simulator 17 Dev Blog – Vehicle Customization
Hey there farmers!
We’ve been publishing a series of dev blogs to give you some insight into the exciting new features coming to Farming Simulator 17, releasing later this year. For this post, we’re going to dive into the vehicle customization you can expect from this latest entry in the series!
Crafting an experience you can call your very own has always been at the very heart of the Farming Simulator games. This year, we’ve pushed even further towards this philosophy of player choice, by giving you the option of customizing your vehicles!
As you can see in the images below, you’ll be given a wealth of options to choose from when customizing vehicles. These can drastically alter the look of the vehicles you’ll be driving, and may even affect how they perform.
If you’re a farmer who likes to look good while you’re working, you’ll be happy to learn that custom paintjobs are coming to Farming Simulator 17. Tractor or car, it always feels good to be cruising around with a fresh coat of paint! For the most aesthetically-conscious farmers, we’ve even included the option to change the color of your rims.
For the more practical types, we’ve included the option to choose whether or not your vehicle is fitted with a front loader attacher. You can even decide what sort of engine you want your vehicle to be kitted out with. The engine you choose will alter how your vehicle performs with different tools – but keep in mind the most powerful engines come with suitably hefty price tags!
You might decide that you want a certain set of wheels for a job. In Farming Simulator 17, you’ll be given the option of choosing different setups, such as wider or narrower wheels. With some vehicles, you can even add tracks to your wheels for a bit of extra traction!
When purchasing vehicles, you will be given access to a range of customization choices dependant on the vehicle type. Each piece of customization have an impact on the total cost of the vehicle. After buying a vehicle, you can always bring them back to the shop to customize them again. It’s also possible to customize the vehicles you lease, although you can’t customize them after leasing them.
